This is for all you Landlords out there! California?
Anybody out there a landlord in california? I moved into my apt a yer+ ago, signed an 8 month lease. 8 months ped, I fell into Month to Month agreement. I got a letter saying my rent is gonna be increased by $250/mth if I don't sign a lease... so i'm OUTTIE! My question is... WHAT ARE THE LAWS REGARDING 30 DAYS NOTICE? I would normally give 30 days, however the place that I found to move into is ready on the 15th and I just HAVE to get OUT of here. Will they be able to keep my deposit (by law) since I didn't give 30 days notice? Cause I would really like that $$ back. Repairs on the aprtement would be no more than $50.00...honestly. ANDDDD does anybody out there KNOW of a web site or something. Tenant/landlord laws of california? I have a feeling I' gonna need resources....
