Renting out our primary residence.Can we still claim homestead exemption it's the only home we own..Florida?

Need to check with Florida but in Texas you have to live in the home to get a homestead deduction. Your home is now rental property. Be very careful who you rent to. . .especially if you're not around to keep an eye on it. And if they have problems, who do they call for repairs? One bad tenant and your home could be worth even less. . .Good luck.
