Help with champagne/sparkling cider for wedding toast?
I'm not going to be providing alcohol at my wedding. There will be a bar, where guests can purchase their own alcoholic beverages if they choose to do so. There will also be a meal, and drinks (punch, coffee, etc) available for the guests. Me and my fiance don't drink, so we were going to get sparkling cider. We went to get it tonight, and my fiance started to get like a whole case and I was like "what are you doing?". (Let me add that this isn't an extravagent wedding and comprised of low to middle cl family members.) I just thought we were going to buy for the head table (me and the groom, and attendants) but he wanted to get a bottle for each table. I know it's not very expensive, but with the holidays coming up, it just wasn't in the budget. We're behind as it is. I thought he understood this, but I guess not. I was just thinking the rest of the guests would toast with whatever they were drinking. How bad will it be to just have something at the head table? What do you suggest?
