Girlfriend wants a break after yr and 8 months...?

Okay, well me and my girlfriend were going out for a year and 8 months. Everything was great until the last few recents months that rumors started that said my girlfriend was cheating on me. At first, i didn't think much of it, but they continued and eventually my parents got involved and now pretty much hate her. They believe the rumors are ture since that the one saying it is "not a liar" to them. i'm not saying that the person is a liar. i though that maybe they just got confused. then after the rumors were getting out of hand, i snapped and ended with my girlfriend somewhat thinking that now everything can be better, but the only thing i did was let my anger get control over me. two days later we got back together, hoping that this would p, but now her mother is not willing to let this go. my girlfriend is no fed up with this situation and decided that we need a break. i didn't say no to her, but i didnt want it either, but this is something she wanted in hopes that everything would be better, so i went along with it. it been two days since sh decided that and i dont want this. she says tat she'll tell me when she is ready to get back together, saying that she still wants to b with me and not have this relationship end. but now my head is filled with thoughts, thinking that she might find someone else, or that this space will get too big and eventually she wont want to be with me anymore. the inside of me is in a flux, and it all because of a rumor that started and my parents kept bombarding with this. im not sure what to do now, what im suppose to be doing. i dont want to lose her, buti get that feeling that is going to happen. anyone help?
