Question about Christian teen relationship? Serious answers please?

Hello. So Im 18 and so is my boyfriend. I've been dating him for almost a year and 4 months and we have had a wonderful relationship. Maybe 4 months or so after we started dating my friend invited me to her church. I was already Christian and raised in a chrsitian family, but I wasn't ever completely secure in my faith until I was older and visited church with that friend. I became involved in the church and loved it and felt like it was the right place to be. Unfortunately when I had gone into the relationship I hadn't thought much about religion because at the time it wasn't a focal point of my life. But now and recently it has become increasingly important to me. The bible says u shouldn't be unequally yoked with a nonbeliever. That's the problem... He isn't christian :( but he is incredilu respectful, sweet, and cares for me a lot. I've told him my boundaries and he has complied happily. We haven't had or engaged in anything ual. He's truly a great guy. <3 but he's not a christian. Honestly what should I do? We are both going to colleges only 20 minutes away and I really don't want to break up with him but I am awfully confused. Help? Any suggestions?
