Are Democrats supportive of hippies?

Hippies just rub me the wrong way. They're unattractive, weird, flaky, and they never shower. They aren't grounded in reality a whole lot, and they support the eco-terrorists PETA and admire Che Guevara. I don't consider myself a right-winger, but hippies are annoying. What percentage of the Democratic base is taken up by hippies and their supporters?
